I confirm that my child’s artwork is completely original, created by them, and that they are under 18 years old. The artwork does not include any AI-generated content or parts taken from another artist’s work, and that we’ll always keep the rights to the original artwork.

I give permission for The Salty Cow to share and use my child’s artwork in promotional materials, on social media, and on merchandise. I understand there won’t be any monetary payment for this use. I also agree that The Salty Cow isn’t responsible for any issues that might come up from using or displaying the artwork.

Rules

Who Can Enter:
Open to kids ages 4–17. A parent or guardian must help with the entry form.
Theme:
All artwork should be cheese-themed. We love all the cheese puns, weird cheese characters, go crazy!
Artwork Requirements:
- Must be original artwork created entirely by the child.
- No AI-generated images or components are allowed.
- No copyrighted or traced characters.
- Acceptable file formats: PNG, JPEG, PDF, or SVG.
- Bold, simple designs print best on shirts and stickers!
Design Rights:
- Artists retain all rights to their original work.
- By entering, you grant The Salty Cow permission to display and/or reproduce your design on merchandise (t-shirts, stickers, and promotional materials).
- We may make small adjustments (like resizing, color tweaks, or simplifying lines) to make the artwork print-friendly — but we’ll keep your design’s spirit intact.
Submission Deadline:
All entries must be received by December 1, 2025, at 11:59 PM.
How to Submit Your Artwork:
You can submit your art in one of three ways:
- In Person: Drop it off at any of our weekly market booths (see Events page for locations and times).
- By Email: Send to dan@thesaltycowllc.com (include your name, age, and parent’s contact info).
- Online: Submit through the website form above.
Selection Process:
The Salty Cow team will select winners based on creativity, originality, and how well the design captures our cheesy Salty Cow spirit!
One Entry Per Artist.
Please submit only your best design.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q: Can I draw my art by hand, or does it need to be digital?
- A: Any medium is welcome — crayons, markers, paint, collage, or digital tools! Just make sure it’s not AI-generated and you can scan or photograph it clearly.
Q: Can siblings both enter?
- A: Absolutely! Each child can submit one design.
Q: What happens if my design wins?
- A: We’ll contact your parent or guardian and show you a preview before printing your design.
Q: Will my design look exactly the same when printed?
- A: We might make small adjustments to ensure it prints cleanly, but we’ll stay true to your original work.
Q: Do I still own my artwork?
- A: Yes! You keep full rights. The Salty Cow just gets permission to print and share your design for contest-related use.
Q: Do I have to include The Salty Cow logo or name?
- A: You can if you’d like, but it’s not required. Your creativity is what matters most!
Q: When will the winners be announced?
- A: Winning design will be announced on December 6th, 2025 via email, at our markets, and on our social media pages.

BEST PRACTICES FOR SCANNING OR PHOTOGRAPHING YOUR ART

Help your art look its best when you submit it!

If Scanning:

Use a flatbed scanner if available.
Scan at 300 DPI (dots per inch) for print-quality results.
Save your file as PNG, JPEG, PDF, or SVG.

If Photographing:

Take your photo in bright, natural light (daylight near a window works great).
Make sure your artwork is flat and evenly lit — no shadows or glare.
Hold your camera directly above the artwork. Artwork that is skewed or out of focus is harder to get ready for printing.
Crop the image so only your art is visible.
